While Gallup has over 1,000 artists and 100s of traders in the region, there are some really unique businesses that showcase some traditional cultural items in ways that guests and locals can get hands on. Gallup is home to some of the most unique manufacturing in the Southwest, with brands you may not even know were made in our region.

City Electric Shoe Shop City Electric Shoe Shop Located at 230 W Coal Avenue, this business has been around since 1924 and was founded by Sesto Bonaguidi. The business continues today with father and son duo Louie and Tony Bonaguidi. Within the historic Chief Theater building, this business not only has incredible retail, but manufactures Taos Moccasins and Santa Fe Leathers in the basement.
Weaving in Beauty Weaving in Beauty This business located at 233 W Coal Avenue is the hub for all things fiber arts in the Gallup region. This business not only carries traditional and contemporary weaving tools, but teaches Navajo rug weaving classes, does rug restoration and more.
Navajo Spirit Navajo Spirit Located at 815 W Coal, this unique Navajo Southwestern wear business began in the fall of 1984 led by award winning Navajo fashion designer Virginia Yazzie-Ballenger. Their products are hand crafted in Gallup from Navajo Spirit's original designs, by Virginia's accomplished Navajo staff.
